Create an immersive physical and digital retail experience for Mattel and FAO Schwarz to reintroduce Barbie to a new generation of tech-driven consumers. The Barbie Creation Station invited parents and children to design a custom Barbie, have it assembled on-site, and watch it debut in a physical and digital runway show.Interactive touch-screen kiosks guided users through the design process, from selecting clothing and accessories to integrating with the store’s POS system and digital queue.

Behind the scenes, each order triggered real-time assembly, transforming imagination into a tangible creation that walked the runway minutes later. The installation became the largest in FAO Schwarz history, captivating shoppers with vibrant visuals, immersive audio, and live runway theatrics. Its success garnered global press and industry attention, leading to a reimagined version for Mattel’s House of Barbie in Shanghai.
